Crossing the Line

Crossing the Line returns for its second year, once again presenting three weeks of inter-disciplinary contemporary works by artists who are transforming cultural practices on both sides of the Atlantic.

Conceived, initiated, and produced by FIAF, Crossing the Line is presented in partnership with CPR-Center for Performance Research @ Greenbelt, Dance Theater Workshop, Luxe Gallery, and Performance Space 122.

Screening of two of esteemed film artist Pierre Coulibeuf's most absorbing works, one of which (Balkan Baroque) features a turn by famed artist Marina Abramovic. Due to unforeseen personal circumstances, Mr. Coulibeuf will not attend the screening as was previously announced.

Director, screenwriter, and film critic Olivier Assayas presents his two-part documentary, in which he chronicles the intense collaboration between French choreographer Angelin Preljocaj and composer Karlheinz Stockhausen. Mr. Assayas will be present to introduce the films.
