The Faucon Family Faience Collection
Apt, Vaucluse, Provence

The FIAF Gallery, in partnership with the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, showcases the stunning faience collection of the renowned Faucon family. On view will be a carefully curated selection of works, rooted in the traditions of Provence, that bring into focus the evolution of the Bernard Faucon family’s delicate and ornate techniques over the course of generations. The family’s atelier is now shuttered, much to the dismay of collectors around the world who have had the pleasure of owning these one-of-a-kind masterpieces. This is an extremely rare opportunity to view these intricate works before they are installed in a permanent collection in Apt, France.

The centuries-spanning collection will be shown alongside the work of six other maîtres d'art, all of whose creations epitomize extraordinary craftsmanship and exceptional beauty. Still actively creating today, these professional artisans—the French equivalent of the Japanese Living National Treasures—merge modern technology with timeless techniques, creating rare works of art that are truly one of a kind.
