CinéSalon • March 2015 Benoît Jacquot: Leading Ladies
Part of Rendez-vous with French Cinema's 20th Anniversary
Tuesday, Mar 3, 10, 17 & 24 Free for FIAF Members!
French director Benoît Jacquot’s signature is undeniably his talent for directing actresses. From Léa Seydoux as Marie Antoinette’s maid, to Viginie Ledoyen as a pregnant 19-year old, Jacquot creates vivid portraits of singular women on the brink of change.
This homage to Benoît Jacquot opens with a special appearance by the director himself, introducing The Disenchanted.
FIAF is pleased to present this series in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Rendez-Vous with French Cinema, co-presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center and Unifrance Films.
Cohen Media Group will release Jacquot’s latest film, 3 Hearts in the US starting March 13, 2015.
In the spirit of the French ciné-clubs and literary salons, CinéSalon pairs
an engaging French film with a social post-screening wine reception.
Every 7:30pm screening will be
introduced by a high-profile
personality in the arts.
Films in French with English subtitles.
