In this course, you’ll build your understanding of frequently used sentences and expressions, you’ll reinforce your ability to talk about familiar topics and personal interests, and you’ll learn to better describe your background and immediate environment. Authentic resources and real world tasks will introduce you to the structure and use of French in everyday life.

With engaging multimedia activities, texts, and course books, you will learn to establish rules, make comparisons, give and ask for advice, and formulate hypotheses. Culturally, you’ll learn about Parisian monuments as well as unusual ways to explore other Francophone countries. At the end of this class, you will be able to express yourself more clearly about increasingly in-depth topics.

Advanced Beginner A2 level consists of 4 sub-levels: Level A2.1, Level A2.2, Level A2.3, and Level A2.4.
Level A2.1 is the first sub-level of the Advanced Beginner A2 level.
Level A2.1 is further split into Part 1 and Part 2 for the leisurely track.

Note About Class Formats: General French A1.1 to C1.6, Intro to French, Refresher courses are held entirely in person at FIAF or entirely online on Zoom. All other courses for adults are HyFlex with online and in-person students attending the same class via 360° cameras in the classroom.
