Spring classes will start live on Zoom the week of Monday, April 6. Lessons will take place online while we are closed and will switch to in-person lessons at FIAF as soon as we are able to reopen.
90-minute / 2-hour classes: You meet on Zoom for the full duration of the class.
3-hour classes: The first 90 minutes of class will be live on Zoom. You will then receive 90 minutes of independent and mandatory work to be completed at your convenience before your next class. The offline activities are a full part of your weekly class. You will be able to connect with your teacher at anytime via an online platform if you have any questions.
Book: Cosmopolite 3, Unit 7 & 8
Strengthen your communication skills and understand the main points of conversation with a native speaker.
Reinforce your communication skills and understanding of everyday French in our intermediate classes. At this level you will deepen your vocabulary and expand your capacity to have complex conversations. At the end of this level you will be able to handle most situations while traveling in a French-speaking country and to understand the main points of any conversation with a native French-speaker.
Through interactive and multimedia activities, texts, and course books you will learn to discuss the past and talk about biases in storytelling. Culturally, you will focus on the history and heritage of Francophone countries. At the end of this class, you will be able to refute ideas and add digressions to your arguments, all using more nuanced vocabulary.
The Intermediate B1 level consists of 4 classes: 301, 302, 303, and 304. Level 304 is the fourth level of this tier.
