An Augmented Reality Exhibit by Sutu

Saturday, February 3, 2018
11:00am
FIAF Tinker Auditorium

Head to the FIAF Gallery to experience a stunning augmented reality exhibit created by artist Sutu in collaboration with 45 artists from around the world.

Augmented reality is the integration of digital information with the user’s environment in real time. Unlike virtual reality, which creates a totally artificial environment, augmented reality uses the existing environment and overlays new information on top of it.

The exhibition is an experiment in mixing art with reality. When viewed through an app, each art work comes to life with animation and sound.

On the menu, a little science fiction, poetry, humor, and darkness too. From Eeva Meltio’s house being slowly engulfed by a storm to Hans Ckoe’s whirlwind morphing clone, captivating new worlds are yours to discover. Simply wave your smartphone over the book and static images come to life.

Sutu (Stuart Campbell) uses art and technology in new ways to tell stories. He is an illustrator, interactive designer, and writer.
