In the tradition of Maxwell Smart and Inspector Clouseau, Jean Dujardin is secret agent Hubert Bonisseur de la Bath, a.k.a. OSS 117, who invariably overcomes his ineptitude to save the day. When a fellow agent is killed, Hubert must take over his position as the head of a poultry farm in Cairo while he investigates the crime. As Hubert sets about solving the murder, he stumbles his way into international politics and religious affairs, as well as commentary on neo-colonialism, ethnocentrism, and the state of the espionage complex in this sidesplitting spoof of the spy genre.
