Thirty-something Alex and Noémie would like to have a child. But their plans are turned upside down when Alex’s mother, Suzanne, contracts ‘semantic dementia’, a fatal neurodegenerative disease that affects her behavior. Suzanne spends lavishly, pays nightly visits to her neighbors to eat sandwiches, and ends up making herself a fake driver’s license with glue and scissors when she is forbidden to drive. A strange reversal of parenting for Alex and Noémie, this heartfelt comedy is full of surprises and laugh-out-loud moments.
