Labidi’s days of food delivery work and roomates might finally be over when he receives word that his first book will be published. At the same time, he strikes up a whirlwind romance with a student, Elsa. Never one to give up, Labidi’s world is a frantic comedic jaunt of juggling love, life and his passion all in efforts to make ends meet. Supported by intimate and captivating cinematography, and strong performances, Louda Ben Salah’s first film offers a touching look at integration and social mobility.
“A film filled with sweetness, highlighting uncertainty and instability in its main character. The word charming seems too weak to describe this film, what comes out from it could be full of grace.” – Sandra Onana, Libération
