Marc (Mathieu Amalric) is a forty-something, single professor living with his sister in a remote chalet in Lausanne, Switzerland. As the semester comes to an end, one of the philandering professor’s most promising students, Barbara, disappears after spending a night with him. When Barbara’s mother comes to town to retrace her daughter’s steps in hopes of finding her, suddenly all leads are pointing back to Marc.
“The Larrieu take a clever pleasure in taking us to the heart of a tortuous plot where it is very difficult to distinguish what is truth and what is mystification.” – Télérama
“A typically riveting turn by Mathieu Amalric keeps this twisty and increasingly bizarre thriller from going off the rails.” – Rob Nelson, Variety
