In the year 2200, private detective Aline Ruby (Léa Drucker) and her android partner Carlos Rivera (Daniel Njo Lobé) are hired by a wealthy businessman, Chris Royjacker (Mathieu Amalric) to track down a notorious hacker. On Mars, they descend deep into the underbelly of the planet’s capital city where they uncover a darker story of brain farms, corruption, and a missing girl who holds a secret about the robots that threatens to alter the universe.
Combining 2D and 3D animation, this stylish, smart, and futuristic sci-fi film noir is an adrenaline-fueled, cinematic adventure packed with humor and exhilarating action sequences. This prescient entry from French director Jérémie Périn draws inspiration from Brian De Palma to Paul Verhoeven to classic Japanese animation, sparking the current conversation about AI anxiety through pop culture references and hard-boiled themes.

About Jérémie Périn
Jérémie Périn graduated from Gobelins School of Visual Arts in 2000. In 2007, he co-directed the series CO2. In 2009, he made a name for himself with the music video of Truckers Delight by the band Flairs. In 2016, with the series Lastman, which he directed, he made a name for himself in adult animation in France and around the world.

Producer Didier Creste has worked as an assistant director for lauded filmmakers including Maurice Pialat and Claude Chabrol. He is currently a producer with Everybody on Deck, working on both animated and live-action films.
