This sly, sultry, character-driven comedic thriller follows Sibyl (Virginie Efira), a psychotherapist who quits her practice to pursue her passion for writing. As she drops patients, she struggles to manage her newfound time and lack of inspiration—until she gets a call from Margot (Adèle Exarchopoulos), a young actress having an affair with her costar Igor (Gaspard Ulliel), who is married to the film’s director Mika (Sandra Hüller). As Sibyl becomes enmeshed in Margot’s life, she blurs past and present, fiction and reality, and the personal with the professional as she uses Margot’s drama as material for her novel.
