In January’s film series, FIAF pays homage to Jane Birkin, one of France’s most adored cinematic, musical, and style icons. Curated by Jane Birkin’s daughters Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon, the series presents films particularly cherished by them and by their mother. These five films span Birkin’s eclectic on-screen career, demonstrating the elusive and un-fettered presence she brought to her roles, and includes collaborations with celebrated artists Agnès Varda, Jacques Rivette, and Serge Gainsbourg, amongst others.

Special thanks to Lou Doillon, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Olivier Gluzman.
